Frequently Asked Questions

What Types of Services Do You Offer?

At Trinity Counseling Resources, we provide exceptional care, fostering healthier relationships and maximizing potential. We offer counseling, coaching, and consulting services. Inclusivity is a core principle, welcoming individuals from every age, race, religious perspective, and socio-economic class.

What is Therapy?

Therapy, or mental health counseling, is a service provided by a licensed mental health therapist designed to help you navigate and manage distressing symptoms such as anxiety, depression, and non-chemical addictions, among others. It’s a safe space for you to adjust to major life changes and work through challenging problems. The ultimate goal of therapy is to enhance your mental well-being, equip you with new skills, and facilitate changes in problematic behaviors. You’re not alone in this journey; consider us your partners in your path to improved mental well-being.

Why is Therapy Beneficial?

Therapy is a journey toward personal evolution, self-understanding, and healthier coping mechanisms. It offers relief from unpleasant or distressing symptoms, leading to an improvement in mood and overall quality of life. It equips you with enhanced coping skills, helps to foster healthier relationships, and boosts your self-esteem. Through therapy, you gain a better understanding of yourself and experience personal growth. Ultimately, the process is about achieving a better quality of life and promoting individual growth.

What Happens At My First Session?

In the first couple of sessions, an open dialogue is initiated wherein you share your concerns and what brought you to therapy. Information about your mental, physical, and emotional health is gathered to create a tailored treatment plan designed specifically for you. Each session typically lasts between 50-53 minutes. The treatment goals are mutually set to ensure your needs and treatment objectives are met.

How Many Therapy Sessions Will I Need?

The number of sessions required varies greatly from person to person. Factors such as the severity of your symptoms, your personal goals, your motivation level, the extent to which these symptoms are upsetting for you, and the progress you are making all play a role in determining the length of therapy.
